Year 1 Teacher

Year 1 Cover Teacher (Fixed-Term) – September to December 2026

Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Fixed-Term (September – December 2026)
Hours: Full-time

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Year 1 Cover Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Mansfield from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach a wonderful Year 1 class during the first term of the academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, creative and inclusive lessons that inspire children to achieve their full potential while fostering a positive and nurturing classroom environment.

This fixed-term position will run from September until December 2026, with the possibility of extending beyond December for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Must be an expereinced Teacher
• Has a secure understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and early reading.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Has high expectations for learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of phonics
