Year 4 Class Teacher – Havering | September Start | MPS M3–M6

Year 4 Class Teacher required for a welcoming primary school in Havering. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher to join a friendly and supportive school on a one-year fixed-term contract starting in September.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher who can inspire children to achieve their best. This role would suit a confident classroom practitioner with strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and a passion for creating engaging learning experiences.

The Role

As the Year 4 Class Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide high-quality learning experiences.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 4.
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• High expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement.
• A positive, collaborative approach to working within a team.

Please note: This role is open to teachers on the M3–M6 pay scale. Unfortunately, the school is unable to consider applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
