Youth Development Worker in Bideford, Devon

BDS currently have exciting opportunities for Youth Development Workers to join a well-established Housing Association in the Bideford area.

The main focus of this role will be to work across the Bideford area supporting vulnerable service users based in a supported accommodation service for young people aged 16–25.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review support and action plans tailored to individual goals.
• Update and manage risk assessments and risk management plans.
• Support young people with tenancy and housing management.
• Assist with benefits applications (e.g., Universal Credit, PIP, Housing Benefit).
• Explore and support pathways into education, training, and employment.
• Collaborate with external agencies (mental health, domestic violence services, landlords, etc.).

The ideal candidate will have:

• A good understanding of young people’s needs, safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues.
• An understanding of support needs and support planning.
• An understanding risk assessing and risk management.

Location; Working across the Bideford area

Working Pattern; Monday- Friday – shift pattern working between the hours of 8am and 9pm

This is a temp ongoing role to start ASAP

Pay Rate; £15.34ph PAYE - £19.90ph Umbrella
