Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a local sheffield company, specialising in promotional merchandising and consumables. We’re hiring an Account Manager to support a portfolio of independent, owner‑managed retail stores. This is a relationship driven, phone based role where regular contact, consistency, and genuine rapport make all the difference.
⭐ What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of retail accounts with a focus on high‑volume, smaller customers
- Building strong relationships with store owners and managers through regular calls
- Maintaining consistent ordering and ensuring customers feel supported
- Identifying upsell opportunities and recommending relevant products
- Re‑engaging lapsed or low‑activity accounts to keep your portfolio active
- Working towards sales targets and contributing to team performance
- Quoting and processing orders accurately and efficiently
- Recording activity and updates in the CRM system
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- Experience in sales, customer service or account management — ideally in a phone‑based environment
- Confident making regular outbound calls and managing a large number of smaller accounts
- Strong communicator who enjoys building rapport quickly
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise across a busy portfolio
- Proactive, resilient, and motivated by targets
- Experience in retail, wholesale, or consumables is helpful but not essential
