Your new role
Joining on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, you will take on strategic leadership of the organisation's administrative operations, ensuring consistent, high‑quality support across the business. You will guide multiple teams, shape operational standards, and drive improvements that strengthen service delivery during a period of transition and organisational focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead administrative teams - Manage Team Leads, build a strong leadership culture and ensure teams are structured and performing effectively.
- Own operational delivery - Oversee firm‑wide administrative services, ensuring senior stakeholders receive proactive, reliable support.
- Plan workload & resources - Manage capacity, prioritisation and task allocation to maintain service continuity.
- Maintain quality & governance - Uphold professional standards, data protection requirements and quality controls across all outputs.
- Drive performance management - Set KPIs, monitor productivity and quality, and support capability development at all levels.
- Champion process improvement - Identify inefficiencies, lead improvement initiatives and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Engage senior stakeholders - Act as a trusted point of contact for partners, directors and senior managers.
- Support wider business activity - Contribute to firm‑wide projects, employer‑brand activity and operational forums.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this highly visible role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in a senior administrative or operational leadership role within a professional or regulated environment.
- Proven ability to lead managers and team leaders, build accountable, high‑performing teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and an operational mindset, with the ability to balance quality, efficiency and risk.
- Excellent stakeholder‑management skills, with confidence in engaging at senior leadership level.
- A track record of improving service delivery, driving operational effectiveness and implementing meaningful change.
- High levels of organisation, resilience and decisiveness, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain service continuity.
