SW Locums is recruiting an experienced Adult Social Worker with a strong background in Mental Health and/or Learning Disabilities to join Surrey County Council. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a forward-thinking service dedicated to delivering person-centred support and improving outcomes for adults with complex needs.

The Opportunity

• £38.69 per hour (Umbrella)

• Full-time locum role

• Monday to Friday

• ASAP start

• Surrey County Council

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of adults with Mental Health and Learning Disability needs.

• Complete Care Act assessments, reviews and person-centred support plans.

• Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and contribute to safeguarding enquiries where required.

• Work collaboratively with health professionals, community teams and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for individuals.

• Support adults to maximise their independence while promoting choice, dignity and wellbeing.

• Maintain accurate case records and ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and statutory guidance.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

• Strong Adult Social Work experience.

• Proven experience working within Mental Health and/or Learning Disability services.

• Excellent knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Adult Safeguarding.

• Confident managing complex cases and working within a multidisciplinary environment.
