AOV Small works engineer in London, Greater London

Location: London & South East- field based
Salary: £55,000 DOE
Monday - Friday with On call rota
Key Responsibilities
- Complete AOV and smoke-control remedial, upgrade and small installation works.
- Install and replace actuators, control panels, power supplies, detectors, interfaces and associated equipment.
- Carry out electrical alterations, cabling, containment and terminations.
- Fault-find and assist with diagnosis, escalating complex issues where required.
- Complete works in line with approved scopes, drawings and specifications.
- Support testing and commissioning of completed works.
- Record labour, materials, defects and completed works accurately.
- Identify and report additional defects or remedial requirements.
- Work safely and professionally in occupied residential and commercial properties.
- Develop technical knowledge through manufacturer and specialist AOV training.
- Practical experience in AOV, smoke control, electrical installation or small works.
- Strong electrical installation and fault-finding skills.
- Experience installing or repairing AOV/smoke-control equipment.
- Relevant electrical qualifications and demonstrable competence.
- Able to work independently and deliver high-quality work.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with fire alarm systems and AOV interfaces/cause-and-effect is advantageous.
