Assistant Aftersales Manager

- Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (42.5 hours per week)
- Salary: From £16.12 per hour plus performance bonus, 33 days holiday, life assurance, pension and additional benefits.
Working closely with senior management, you will support the day-to-day operation of the Aftersales Department, ensuring exceptional customer service standards, strong team performance, and efficient departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities as a Assistant Aftersales Manager:
- Support the effective management of the dealership Aftersales function.
- Assist in overseeing service department operations to maximise efficiency and profitability.
- Lead, motivate and develop team members to achieve departmental and business objectives.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience and ensure customer concerns are resolved professionally and promptly.
- Build long-term customer relationships through excellent service and communication.
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions.
- Ensure all available resources are utilised effectively to support business performance.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues through your technical knowledge and experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase quality, and reduce inefficiencies.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, compliance, and customer care.
- Previous experience in an Assistant Aftersales Manager, Service Manager, Workshop Controller, or similar leadership role within a franchised automotive dealership.
- Strong knowledge of Aftersales operations and service department processes.
- Experience using Keyloop/Kerridge dealership management systems.
- A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and achieving operational targets.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Relevant automotive technical qualifications (NVQ, ATA, HFC, or equivalent) desirable.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 9 penalty points.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
