Salary: £15.32 – £18.39 per hour PAYE
In this role, you will join the System Development & Integration team, working with our clients cutting edge IVD instrumentation platform hardware. You will play a key technical role assisting with hardware troubleshooting, system testing, and integration activities for the medical diagnostic systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute day-to-day full system testing on IVD instrumentation platform hardware in alignment with project goals.
- Serve as a technical liaison between hardware engineers (electronics, software, mechanical, optics) and assay scientists.
- Analyse technical data using tools such as Excel, Minitab, Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation including test protocols, investigation logs, and reports that comply strictly with the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards including ISO 13485, ISO 14971 (Risk Management), EN 60601, and EN 6101
Your Background:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline is required.
- Foundational experience or background in product development, technical support, or laboratory test environments.
- Strong theoretical and practical appreciation for engineering disciplines (electronics, software, mechanical, or optical engineering) combined with hands-on system troubleshooting skills.
- An understanding of medical device or IVD regulatory standards (ISO 13485, ISO 14971) is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, effective time management, and a flexible can-do attitude.
