Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of complex systems using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
• Support fabrication and assembly activities, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
• Contribute to system analysis by performing root cause analysis and debugging of electrical and mechanical components.
• Collaborate on the creation of schematics and electrical layouts for various projects, utilizing tools like Schematics and CAD programs.
• Participate in testing and maintenance activities, including troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems.
• Engage in product development tasks by applying knowledge of math, physics, and mechanical principles to improve existing designs or develop new solutions.
• Assist with documentation efforts such as technical reports, system documentation, and CAD drawings to support project milestones.

Requirements

• Strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles, mechanical concepts, and systems engineering processes.
• Experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, C, or MATLAB for automation and data analysis tasks.
• Construction experience or exposure to fabrication processes is a plus.
• Ability to perform detailed schematics creation, debugging, root cause analysis, and GD&T interpretation.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), system design techniques, and product development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; strong mathematical aptitude is essential.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and document technical work clearly.
