The Role: They have an exciting vacancy for a Building Surveyor to work in a fun, but hardworking environment, delivering a full suite of building surveying duties to their range of residential and commercial clients across London.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the Senior Building Surveyors in the day-to-day running of the business, the role will also include assisting with the following project commissions:

CA duties (project values up to £3.5M)

Insurance reinstatement projects

Planned maintenance surveys
-
Design and specification of maintenance works
-
Condition surveys
-
Defect investigation and diagnosis
-
Licence for Alterations
-
Party Wall matters
-
Pre-Acquisition Surveys
-
Project Management
-
Employer’s Agent roles
-
Reinstatement Cost Assessments
Other roles include assisting with the development of new and repeat business where possible, managing the client relationship and service delivery in conjunction with senior colleagues & managing clients and their expectations, with support from senior colleagues.

Requirements for the Building Surveyor:

RICS Accredited Building Surveying degree - or equivalent qualification (essential)

Proficient IT skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (essential)

Understanding of H&S requirements within the construction industry (essential)

Sound knowledge of construction and basic knowledge of building services (essential)

Desire to develop a career within a consultancy environment (essential)

Committed to working towards RICS Chartered status (essential)

Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD or similar software (advantageous)

Current full, clean driving licence (advantageous)

Live within a one-hour commute of the office (advantageous)
