The Role: They have an exciting vacancy for a Building Surveyor to work in a fun, but hardworking environment, delivering a full suite of building surveying duties to their range of residential and commercial clients across London.

‍Your responsibilities will include supporting the Senior Building Surveyors in the day-to-day running of the business, the role will also include assisting with the following project commissions:

  • ‍CA duties (project values up to £3.5M)

  • Insurance reinstatement projects

  • Planned maintenance surveys

  • Design and specification of maintenance works

  • Condition surveys

  • Defect investigation and diagnosis

  • Licence for Alterations

  • Party Wall matters

  • Pre-Acquisition Surveys

  • Project Management

  • Employer’s Agent roles

  • Reinstatement Cost Assessments

‍Other roles include assisting with the development of new and repeat business where possible, managing the client relationship and service delivery in conjunction with senior colleagues & managing clients and their expectations, with support from senior colleagues.

Requirements for the Building Surveyor:

  • RICS Accredited Building Surveying degree - or equivalent qualification (essential)

  • Proficient IT skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (essential)

  • Understanding of H&S requirements within the construction industry (essential)

  • Sound knowledge of construction and basic knowledge of building services (essential)

  • Desire to develop a career within a consultancy environment (essential)

  • Committed to working towards RICS Chartered status (essential)

  • Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD or similar software (advantageous)

  • Current full, clean driving licence (advantageous)

  • Live within a one-hour commute of the office (advantageous)
