Business Development Manager – Energy Sector

Salary: (negotiable depending on experience)
£50,000 - £80,000 + commission 

We’re working with an innovative digital consultancy delivering technology, data and software solutions across the energy sector. They’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow their presence across the UK and wider energy market.

This role would suit someone with strong energy sector knowledge, commercial drive and a consultative approach to business development.

The Role:
You’ll lead new business activity, develop strategic client relationships and identify opportunities for long-term growth. Working alongside technical teams, you’ll help shape solutions that address real industry challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the energy market.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Generate and convert qualified opportunities.
  • Manage and expand existing client accounts.
  • Track market trends and regulatory developments.
  • Support tenders, proposals and commercial bids.
  • Maintain CRM and pipeline visibility.
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities.

About You:

  • Strong understanding of the UK energy market and sector dynamics.
  • Experience in business development within SaaS. 
  • Confident engaging with both commercial and technical audiences.
  • Proven track record developing opportunities and growing accounts.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • CRM and pipeline management experience.
