A successful primary school in the Blackheath area of Greenwich is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join its team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Class Teacher who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and helping young learners build confidence during the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1. The school combines strong academic expectations with a rich curriculum that includes outdoor learning, arts projects and wider enrichment opportunities.

Pupils are eager to learn, behaviour is positive and staff benefit from a supportive leadership team that prioritises professional development and workload management.

The successful Class Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 1 class and will:

• Deliver creative and engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils' development in phonics, early writing and mathematics
• Create a classroom culture that promotes curiosity and independence
• Use assessment to identify learning needs and plan next steps
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

The school is seeking a Class Teacher who:

• Holds QTS and recent UK primary teaching experience
• Has a strong understanding of early learning and KS1 practice
• Builds positive relationships with pupils and families
• Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Brings enthusiasm, energy and a reflective approach to teaching
