Location: North Staffordshire
Rate: Up to £19 per hour
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7am - 5pm, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday overtime available
Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing business seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join their machining team in North Staffordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hands-on CNC machinist to join an established manufacturing environment, working with CNC turning equipment and producing components to engineering drawings and required specifications.
This role suits someone with a solid manufacturing background who is confident working independently, solving problems, and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
CNC Setter / Operator Responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC turning machinery
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ensure components are produced accurately and to specification
- Carry out quality checks and identify any issues during production
- Diagnose and resolve machining and production problems
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Work independently while contributing effectively as part of the wider manufacturing team
- Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas for improving processes and efficiency
The Ideal CNC Setter / Operator:
- Previous experience in a CNC machining/manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
- Experience with CNC turning/lathe operations - ESSENTIAL
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - ESSENTIAL
- Solid manufacturing background - ESSENTIAL
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and a drive for innovation - ESSENTIAL
- Hands-on and proactive attitude with a strong team spirit - ESSENTIAL
- Ability to work independently and under pressure - ESSENTIAL
- GCSEs or equivalent - PREFERRED, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
Hours & Overtime:
- Monday-Thursday: 7am - 5pm - Overtime available
- Friday: Overtime available
- Saturday: Overtime available
- Sunday: Overtime available
- Pay: Up to £19 per hour, depending on experience
