Site Engineer in Blackburn, Lancashire

Location: Blackburn
Hours: 19:00 - 04:00, Night Shift
Rate: £550 per shift CIS
Contract: Initial 12 weeks, with scope for extension
Positions: 2 Nightshift Site Engineers
We are currently seeking 2 experienced Site Engineers to join a highways project in Blackburn on a nightshift basis.
One position is expected to run for approximately 8 weeks, with the second position expected to run for approximately 12 weeks and beyond, subject to project requirements.

Working as a Nightshift Site Engineer, you will provide engineering support across the site, ensuring works are set out accurately and completed in accordance with project requirements, drawings and specifications.
Key responsibilities will include:

• 
  CAT scanning and identifying existing services
• 
  Issuing permits as required
• 
  Setting out kerbs, CKDs and gullies
• 
  Marking up identified dig-down areas
• 
  Providing accurate as-built documentation
• 
  Progress reporting and recording completed works
• 
  Supporting the site team with engineering requirements
• 
  Working closely with the Site Management and construction teams
• 
  Ensuring all engineering activities are carried out safely and accurately

• 
  Previous experience working as a Site Engineer, ideally within highways/drainage
• 
  Experience with CAT scanning
• 
  Experience setting out highways/drainage works
• 
  Valid CSCS card
• 
  Valid SSSTS
• 
  Highways Passport or relevant highways accreditation
• 
  Strong understanding of setting out and site engineering principles
• 
  Ability to work independently on night shifts
• 
  Good communication and documentation skills
• 
  Relevant engineering qualifications/experience
