TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and forward-thinking independent primary school in Tower Hamlets, London, which is looking for an engaging and knowledgeable Computing Teacher to join its team from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about technology and can make computing accessible, creative and enjoyable for primary-aged pupils. The school is looking for someone who can confidently deliver stimulating lessons covering areas such as coding, digital literacy, online safety, computational thinking and the effective use of technology.

As a Computing Teacher, you will plan and deliver imaginative lessons that encourage pupils to experiment, solve problems and develop confidence when using digital tools. You will create an inclusive learning environment where children of all abilities feel supported and inspired to explore the digital world.

You will work closely with class teachers and the wider leadership team to support curriculum development, monitor pupil progress and promote the safe and responsible use of technology throughout the school. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity and fresh ideas while helping pupils build valuable skills for their future.

The successful Computing Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching within a UK school
  • Strong knowledge of the primary computing curriculum
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons in coding, digital literacy and online safety
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A creative approach to lesson planning and curriculum delivery
  • The confidence to support pupils with a variety of abilities and learning needs
  • A genuine passion for technology and inspiring young learners
