Consultancy Services Manager/ Business Development Manager

Full Time Monday to Friday Hybrid

Immediate Start until end of November initially, pipeline of extension longer term

Are you a commercially driven relationship builder with experience developing partnerships, consultancy opportunities or business engagement programmes?

We're looking for a Consultancy Services Manager to drive the growth of a university-wide consultancy portfolio, helping academic expertise reach organisations that can benefit from innovative thinking, specialist knowledge and research-led solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop and grow the University's consultancy offering
• Build relationships with businesses, public sector organisations and academic teams
• Identify commercial opportunities and new revenue streams
• Manage consultancy projects from enquiry through to contract completion
• Support costing, pricing and contract negotiations
• Develop marketing and business development strategies
• Promote consultancy and knowledge exchange activities across a diverse range of sectors

What we're looking for

• Experience developing commercial partnerships or consultancy opportunities
• Strong business development and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commercial awareness with experience of contract negotiation
• Ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders
• Strong project management and relationship management skills
• Experience within higher education, research, innovation, consultancy or professional services is highly desirable
