Position: YouShape Coordinator
Location: Oxford
Hours: Part-time, 15 hours per week
Salary: £33,627.11 pro rata (actual £13,632.43 per annum)
Contract: 3 years Fixed Term Contract

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a strategic and developing ministry amongst Young Adults. YouShape is a year-long journey for young adults aged 18-30, based in a local hub, building friendships, exploring Christian practices and sharing in retreats, residentials, pilgrimage and adventure!
You will work within a supportive, enthusiastic team and will have significant scope to shape your work and how YouShape grows as you implement the Diocesan strategy for ministry amongst Young Adults within the Discipleship and Social Justice Team.
You will support local hubs and develop future hubs in collaboration with Area Teams, Area Deans and the Board of Reference.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage operational coordination, convene for prayer, prepare and distribute discipleship materials, core administration, planning and budget
- Develop links and clear communications with hubs, support conveners and ensure they align with diocesan policies.
- Be an active member of the YouShape Board of Reference, supplying information and data and ensuring that the resulting actions are being followed up.
- General administration duties
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of working effectively and collaboratively with others
- Experience in maintaining communication in complex settings
- Experience of working as part of a team to deliver specific outputs
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to plan, organise and coordinate multiple programme development activities
- Experience in organising a variety of different events
- Ability to work flexibly under pressure
- Be comfortable with some ambiguity
- An understanding of and sympathy with the work and ethos of the Church of England
- Expertise, passion and experience of working with young adults
