CQC Area Manager

Location: Home-based with travel across Wiltshire, Berkshire & Oxfordshire
Salary: £60,000 per annum + Car Allowance + Bonus of up to £15,000

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing domiciliary care provider for an experienced Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of 10+ domiciliary care branches across Wiltshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

This is a home-based role when not travelling between services, requiring regular travel across the region to provide operational leadership, support branch performance and ensure the delivery of outstanding care. This is a fast-paced, high-profile position suited to an ambitious leader who thrives under pressure and enjoys balancing commercial performance with exceptional quality outcomes.

As Area Manager, you will provide leadership and operational oversight across your portfolio, working closely with Registered Managers to drive growth, improve performance and ensure every service consistently delivers safe, person-centred care. You will be responsible for supporting both established and developing branches, using data and performance metrics to make informed decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.

You will take a hands-on approach, spending time within your branches to support managers, monitor care quality, ensure compliance and maintain high standards of service delivery while driving commercial success.

• Provide operational leadership across a portfolio of 10+ domiciliary care branches.
• Support, coach and develop Registered Managers to achieve outstanding operational performance.
• Drive branch growth, profitability and commercial performance.
• Analyse operational and financial data, identifying trends and implementing improvement plans.
• Monitor KPIs including care hours, staffing, recruitment, retention, compliance and financial performance.
• Ensure all services remain fully compliant with CQC regulations and internal quality standards.
• Carry out regular branch visits, audits and quality reviews.
• Work closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic objectives and business growth.
• Support branches through CQC inspections and implement action plans where required.
• Build high-performing management teams through coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
• Oversee recruitment, workforce planning and retention strategies across the region.
• Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and consistently high standards of person-centred care.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to achieve operational excellence across all services.

• Previous experience as an Area Manager, Regional Manager or Operations Manager within domiciliary care.
• Proven experience managing multiple domiciliary care services simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive branch growth and profitability.
• Highly analytical, confident interpreting data, KPIs and financial information to support decision-making.
• Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards.
• Demonstrable experience supporting Registered Managers to achieve positive operational outcomes.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple priorities.
• A visible and hands-on leader who enjoys spending time within services supporting teams.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and coaching skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout Wiltshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

• £60,000 basic salary
