Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Chelmsford
Remuneration: £12.71 per hour
Contract Details: Temporary, with potential for permanent placement

Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers at the trade counter, providing top-notch service with a smile!
- Keep up-to-date with our product portfolio, promotions, and training - your knowledge is key!
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers through effective communication.
- Handle customer requests, orders, and complaints swiftly to ensure satisfaction.
- Prepare the trade counter and customer area, keeping it stocked, clean, and welcoming.
- Raise competitive sales quotations and follow up to finalise orders.
- Source and order non-stock items promptly from within the organisation.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and participate in stock takes.
- Manage returned products in accordance with warranty policies.
- Keep branch administration organised - files, customer records, and health and safety documents must be in order!
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Handle fragile items carefully and comply with manual handling regulations-heavy lifting may be required!
- Process deliveries, sort, stack, and pick orders efficiently for customer collection or delivery.
Experience Required:
We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment! You should have:
- A solid education background, including maths and English.
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Proven experience in a similar role - multitasking is your forte!
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- The capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Join our team for a full-time, temporary position working Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. You'll engage directly with customers, handle stock, process orders, and maintain a tidy environment. Training will be provided to enhance your product knowledge and ensure you succeed in your role.
