Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a growing claims management business seeking a Total Loss Claims Handler to support customers through the claims process following a vehicle write-off. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team that puts customer service at the heart of everything they do.
The Role
You'll manage total loss claims from start to finish, working closely with customers, insurers, and suppliers to deliver fair, efficient, and compassionate outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage total loss claims and support customers throughout the claims journey.
- Assess vehicle write-off decisions using repair methodology (full training provided).
- Negotiate fair vehicle valuations and manage customer expectations.
- Agree storage and recovery costs with suppliers and third-party insurers.
- Liaise with insurers and other stakeholders to progress claims efficiently.
- Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Deliver excellent customer service while achieving the best commercial outcomes.
You'll have:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities.
- Good organisational, planning, and analytical skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable:
- Experience within the motor repair or motor claims industry.
- Knowledge of vehicle damage assessment.
