Deputy Care Home Manager – Complex Needs
Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Hours: Office Hours | Occasional On-Call
We are working with a specialist care provider to recruit an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to join a dedicated team supporting individuals with complex care and support needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to take the next step in their career, working alongside the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
The Role
As Deputy Care Home Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the service, supporting the Registered Manager and wider team to maintain excellent standards of care, compliance and safeguarding.
You will help ensure that residents receive the highest possible level of support, while promoting independence, dignity and choice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the overall running of the service
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to the care team
- Ensuring high standards of person-centred care are consistently maintained
- Supporting care planning, risk assessments and reviews
- Monitoring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Supporting staff supervision, development and performance management
- Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and incidents
- Liaising with families, professionals and external agencies
- Helping to maintain a positive, safe and supportive environment
- Participating in an occasional on-call rota
About You
We are looking for an experienced care professional with a strong understanding of complex needs and the ability to lead and support a team effectively.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Senior Care or similar leadership role
- Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The confidence to lead, motivate and develop a care team
- A person-centred approach and genuine commitment to improving people's lives
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Relevant care qualifications are desirable
