Our client, a reputable family-run independent garage specialising in BMW and Mini vehicles, is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician. This Diagnostic Vehicle Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a well-established team committed to quality service and ongoing professional development.

  • Competitive basic salary circa £38,000
  • OTE approximately £40,000
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently and accurately
  • Use BMW ISTA diagnostics systems and Autologic equipment effectively
  • Perform vehicle inspections and test drives
  • Carry out complex repairs as required
  • Complete all service and repair documentation accurately
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional image
Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds AVCE qualification, or equivalent experience 
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, ideally with BMW ISTA system knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own toolkit sufficient for vehicle repairs and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of modern vehicle systems and technologies
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills
