Carnell is looking for an experienced Drainage Operative to join our Technology & Infrastructure team, supporting highway and civil engineering projects across the UK. This role involves nationwide travel, working away from home, and occasional night and weekend working.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out drainage installation, maintenance and repair works.
- Install pipes, chambers, gullies and associated drainage infrastructure.
- Undertake excavation and reinstatement activities safely and efficiently.
- Work from site drawings, specifications and safe systems of work.
- Assist with highway and civil engineering activities as required.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality on site.
Essential Requirements
- Current CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven highways experience in drainage installations.
- Knowledge of drainage systems, excavation and reinstatement methods.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow site procedures.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
- Experience working on National Highways projects.
Desirable
- NRSWA/Street Works qualification.
- Cat & Genny.
- First Aid.
- CPCS/NPORS plant tickets.
