About the Role

Our Client is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Early Years Lecturer to join their Service & Professional Industries department on a full-time maternity cover basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator or industry professional to inspire and support the next generation of Early Years practitioners. You will deliver engaging learning experiences, helping students achieve their qualifications while developing the professional skills needed for successful careers in the childcare and education sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Early Years programmes.
• Create engaging lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning materials.
• Support learners to achieve positive outcomes and qualifications.
• Act as a course tutor and provide tutorial and pastoral support where required.
• Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement.
• Undertake assessment activities and maintain accurate learner records.
• Support curriculum development and contribute to new programme initiatives.
• Participate in student recruitment, interviews, enrolment, and induction activities.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with employers and industry partners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the student experience and maintain high educational standards.

About You

• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Teaching, training, or industry experience within Early Years, Childcare, or a related field.
• Minimum Level 2 English and Maths qualification (or willingness to achieve).
• Understanding of curriculum delivery, assessment, and learner support.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills.
• Passion for education and helping learners achieve their potential.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, safeguarding, and continuous professional development.
