About the role:

Main duties will include, but not be limited to:
  • Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety activities across major civil engineering projects.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all site operations.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Review and approve RAMS and other Health & Safety documentation.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Lead incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and Health & Safety briefings.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
  • Prepare Health & Safety reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Work closely with project management teams, clients, and subcontractors to continuously improve Health & Safety performance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5–7 years' experience in an EHS, Health & Safety, or SHEQ role within the construction sector.
  • Civil Engineering experience is essential.
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • UK/EU Passport or right to work in EU essential.
