About the role:

- Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety activities across major civil engineering projects.
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all site operations.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Review and approve RAMS and other Health & Safety documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Lead incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and Health & Safety briefings.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- Prepare Health & Safety reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Work closely with project management teams, clients, and subcontractors to continuously improve Health & Safety performance.
- Minimum 5–7 years' experience in an EHS, Health & Safety, or SHEQ role within the construction sector.
- Civil Engineering experience is essential.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- UK/EU Passport or right to work in EU essential.
