Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Oxford Circus, London – £48,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work within a commercial building in Oxford Circus, London. The successful candidate will join an established 4-man engineering team and will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical and general building maintenance.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and a proven track record in electrical building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £48,000, plenty of overtime, further training and excellent opportunities for career progression.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday – 08:00am to 17:00pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the building
  • Carry out fault finding and repairs on electrical systems
  • Electrical testing and inspection
  • Lighting and emergency lighting maintenance
  • Small power and socket repairs
  • Basic electrical installations and remedial works
  • Monitor and maintain electrical plant and equipment
  • Respond to electrical breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests
  • Monitor the BMS systems
  • Carry out basic mechanical and plumbing duties where required
  • General building fabric maintenance
  • Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
  • Work collaboratively as part of a 4-man engineering team
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in line with company and site procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and remedial works
Requirements

  • Electrically qualified – City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent (Essential)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential)
  • Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Previous experience working within a commercial FM environment
  • Multi-skilled with a good understanding of general building services
  • Good communication skills
  • Client-facing experience
