Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business in Derby to recruit a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

Location: Derby
Salary: £55,000 p.a.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - Rotating 3 Shifts

• 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• 10:00pm - 6:00am

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work within a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting cutting-edge automation and production systems.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting and improving a wide range of manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer 

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated production lines.
• Perform PLC fault finding and support automation systems.
• Maintain motor control systems, drives and electrical distribution equipment.
• Support robotic systems and automated machinery.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximise plant performance.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.

About You

To be successful in this Electrical Maintenance Engineer position, you will possess:

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong PLC fault-finding skills.
• Versatile individual with strong electrical expertise and the ability to fault-find across complex automated production machinery.
• Experience with motor controls, inverters and automation systems.
• Knowledge of robotics and automated production equipment.
• A flexible and hands-on approach to maintenance engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-diagnosis abilities.
