KAP is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business seeking skilled Electrical / Mechanical Technicians to join and strengthen its production team. We welcome applications from candidates with strong practical experience, whether gained through formal qualifications or hands-on industry work.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive production environment where you will be responsible for assembling and building a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. The position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and build electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and production specifications.
- Complete work accurately and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Follow established workshop procedures and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to customer requirements.
- Contribute to a positive and productive working environment.
About You
- Previous experience within electrical, mechanical, maintenance, assembly, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning and development.
Hours & Benefits
- 38 hours per week
- Competitive pay of up to £20.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates
- 36 days annual leave
