Join a Growing M&E Business Delivering Standout Projects
A well-established and successfully growing M&E contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager as part of its continued expansion across Kent, Surrey and London.
The business has built an excellent portfolio of commercial, education, refurbishment and unique historical building projects, providing the opportunity to work on installations that are genuinely varied and technically interesting.
With an impressive office location, a strong pipeline of secured work and continued investment in the team, this is a great opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager looking for long-term progression rather than simply their next project.
The Role
You'll take responsibility for electrical packages from pre-construction and procurement through installation, commissioning and final handover.
Key responsibilities will include:
-
Managing electrical projects, programmes and site delivery teams.
-
Coordinating electrical subcontractors, specialists and suppliers.
-
Managing procurement of electrical equipment and subcontract packages.
-
Attending client, design, coordination and technical meetings.
-
Reviewing electrical drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
-
Identifying value-engineering and buildability opportunities.
-
Managing project costs, variations and commercial performance.
-
Coordinating electrical installations with mechanical and other building services.
-
Monitoring quality, H&S compliance and project documentation.
-
Managing testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.
-
Providing clear programme and progress reporting to senior management.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in Electrical Project Managers with a strong building-services / M&E contracting background and experience delivering commercial, education, refurbishment or technically challenging projects.
You'll need a solid understanding of electrical installations, confidence managing subcontractors and site teams, and the commercial awareness to manage procurement, programme, variations and project costs.
SMSTS / CSCS would be advantageous.
Why Consider It?
This is an opportunity to become part of a business during a period of successful, sustainable growth. You'll work on a diverse portfolio rather than repetitive schemes, with exposure to some particularly interesting historical, education and commercial buildings.
For someone who performs well, there is genuine opportunity to grow with the company and take on greater responsibility as the business expands.
