Pay Rates & Shift Timings
Pay Rates
- Day Shift: £17.95 per hour
- Night Shift: £23.93 per hour
- Overtime (First 10 hours): £26.93 per hour
- Overtime (After 10 hours): £35.90 per hour
Shift Patterns
- Day Shift:
o Monday: 07:00 - 17:15
o Tuesday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:45
- Night Shift:
o Monday: 21:00 - 07:15
o Tuesday to Thursday: 21:00 - 06:45
(Note: Shift times may vary slightly depending on work location within the facility)
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret complex schematic drawings to plan assembly methods and sequences.
- Perform diverse electrical tasks, including wiring, installation, terminations, connecting panels, crimping, and upfitting cable trays/ladder racks and conduits on gensets and enclosures.
- Safely operate a wide variety of power and hand tools.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Strict compliance with site health, safety, quality standards, and the 5S programme.
- Train and mentor other team members when required.
- Maintain professional conduct aligned with company core values and support business improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Qualifications: Formal Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or an equivalent relevant electrical qualification.
- Hands-on Experience: Proven track record in electrical wiring, installation, terminations, panel connection, and conduit/cable tray fitting.
- Environment: Experience working within a lean manufacturing environment and to defined process times is preferred.
- Capabilities: Comfort working at heights and in enclosed/confined work areas.
- Mindset: Strong attention to detail, a keen commitment to safety, and a proactive attitude.
- IT Skills: Basic computer literacy is advantageous (though not essential).
