Irwin and Colton are delighted to announce that we are partnering with a leading specialist contractor to recruit for an Environment and Sustainability Advisor. You will be supporting projects across London and the South of England, you will work closely with project teams to drive environmental compliance across a diverse portfolio of high profile projects. The role is joining a leading specialist subcontractor with a turnover of circa £300 million.

Responsibilities for the Environment and Sustainability Advisor:

• Carrying out site inspections and audits, undertaking preliminary environmental assessments and collecting data to assess environmental and sustainability performance.
• Conducting regular site visits to ensure the delivery of environmental policy and compliance with legislation and regulations, across a range of projects.
• Collaborating and advising project managers at each stage of the construction process, to ensure that sustainability initiatives are met.
• Assist with BREEAM compliance, SmartWaste reporting and the collection of environmental and carbon performance data.

A Successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will have:

• Proven experience in the environment and sustainability space within the construction industry or a related sector
• A degree in a related environment or sustainability field and ideally holding a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
• A strong ability to build relationships with external stakeholders to help meet strategic objectives.
• An ambition to grow and develop your career within the environment space.
