EYFS Teacher – Southwark
Salary: £40,317–£62,496 per annum
Contract: Long-term temporary
Working pattern: Full-time, subject to final placement confirmation

Transparency Education is recruiting an experienced EYFS Teacher for a primary school in Southwark. The school is seeking a creative practitioner who combines warm relationships with strong routines, purposeful provision and high expectations for every child.
As the EYFS Teacher, you will lead an inclusive classroom, work closely with support staff and use observation-led assessment to plan meaningful next steps.

Key responsibilities
• Plan and deliver an engaging curriculum informed by the EYFS framework.
• Create high-quality continuous provision indoors and outdoors.
• Promote communication, early literacy, mathematics and personal development.
• Observe, assess and document children’s progress effectively.
• Identify emerging needs and work with the SENCO to provide early support.
• Lead and deploy classroom staff effectively.
• Build constructive partnerships with parents and carers.
• Support positive transitions into school and on to Key Stage 1.

Candidate profile
The successful EYFS Teacher will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Successful teaching experience within Reception or Nursery.
• Strong knowledge of early-childhood development and effective EYFS practice.
• The ability to balance child-initiated learning with purposeful adult guidance.
• Confident classroom leadership and behaviour-management skills.
• A commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding.
• Experience coordinating an area of provision would be advantageous.
