Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of integrated facilities management services across 11 sites in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.

This role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across a government contract, while maintaining strong customer relationships and driving operational excellence.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee service performance, and act as the key contract representative across the region. Regular travel between sites will be required, with a car or car allowance provided.

Job Description

Working across a diverse portfolio of sites, you will drive service improvements, ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards, and support the achievement of operational and commercial objectives through effective leadership and stakeholder engagement.

We are looking for a proactive and experienced facilities management professional who can lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee service performance, and act as the key contract representative across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of integrated facilities management services, including planned and reactive maintenance, engineering systems, cleaning, and soft services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, acting as a visible and trusted partner across all sites.
  • Manage and develop the contract management team, driving service improvements through audits, performance monitoring, and action planning.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and promote a strong safety culture throughout the team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance records, Health & Safety files, and safe systems of work.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and development of operational teams.
  • Manage budgets, financial targets, cost control measures, and service level agreements to ensure value for money.
  • Act as the primary representative across allocated sites, ensuring service delivery expectations are consistently achieved and supporting implementation of the account development plan.

Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications

  • Proven management experience within the public sector or a similar environment delivering integrated facilities management services.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to set operational direction and manage multiple sites.
  • Experience managing technical infrastructure, engineering services, and building assets.
  • Experience overseeing soft FM services within workplace environments.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, compliance standards, and industry regulations.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, particularly during periods of operational change.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all organisational levels.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the regional portfolio.
