We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Engineer to join our expanding team, delivering high-quality planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and small works across Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder Alarm and Access Control systems.

The Role:

You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, reactive callouts and small works on Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder Alarm and Access Control systems, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent the company professionally at all times, delivering excellent customer service and building strong client relationships.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and small works on Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder Alarm and Access Control systems.

Ensure all work is completed within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and client timescales.

Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise system downtime.

Liaise closely with the Service Team to ensure efficient scheduling and completion of works.

Complete accurate service reports and documentation using company software.

Comply with all Health & Safety legislation, company policies and safe working practices.

Participate in the out-of-hours standby and call-out rota.

Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.

Support colleagues and undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Key Performance Indicators

Completion of planned preventative maintenance within agreed timescales.

Delivery of work to client specifications and company quality standards.

Compliance with Health & Safety procedures and industry regulations.

Achievement and maintenance of required technical competencies.

Effective management and upkeep of company vehicle, tools and equipment.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience servicing and maintaining both Fire Alarm and Security systems.

Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm systems and BS 5839.

Fire Industry Association (FIA) qualifications or equivalent.

Experience maintaining Emergency Lighting systems.

An electrical background.

Knowledge of integrated security systems (desirable).

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

A full UK driving licence.

ECS, CSCS and/or IPAF certification (preferred).

A flexible approach with willingness to travel nationally and undertake occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of five years' experience within the Fire & Security industry (preferred).

Experience servicing and maintaining Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting systems.

Electrical qualifications or relevant industry experience.

Fire Extinguisher training (desirable).
