FLT Counterbalance Operative
Location: Bootle, L20
Pay Rate: £13.50/hr
Shifts: 07:00 starts. Finish between 16:00-19:00 depending on volume
Days: Monday-Friday

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy and fast-paced operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator, particularly those with experience handling aluminium or steel products, to work within a well-established and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials within the warehouse or yard
• Handling long, heavy, or awkward loads such as aluminium or steel stock
• Ensuring all goods are stored correctly and safely
• Assisting with goods-in and dispatch operations
• Carrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
• Following all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Valid and in-date counterbalance forklift licence
• Proven experience operating a counterbalance FLT in a busy environment
• Experience handling aluminium, steel, or other heavy materials (desirable)
• Good awareness of health and safety practices
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
