Forklift Operator / Labourer – 6 Weeks – ASAP Start

We're looking for a reliable, experienced, and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join a busy logistics and warehouse team based at Chippenham.

Role: Temporary Forklift Operator / Labourer
Contract: Temporary, 6 weeks
Start: ASAP
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week

As Forklift Operator, you'll support day-to-day goods-in, storage, and dispatch operations, moving stock safely and efficiently across the site.

Key responsibilities of the Forklift Operator role include:

• Safely operating a counterbalance/reach forklift truck in a fast-paced environment
• Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing HGV trailers and delivery vehicles
• Transporting pallets and materials to designated storage areas and high-bay racking
• Conducting mandatory pre-shift and post-shift equipment safety checks, reporting defects immediately
• Picking, wrapping, and staging products accurately for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and obstruction-free workspace and warehouse floor
• Assisting with general warehouse and manual handling duties when required

What we're looking for:
Applicants for this Forklift Operator role must hold a valid, accredited forklift licence/certificate (e.g. RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent) for the relevant truck type, with a minimum of 1 year's proven commercial forklift operating experience. A strong commitment to health and safety, reliability, punctuality, and the physical fitness to carry out manual labouring tasks are all essential.
