We Are Footprint are working with a well-established home improvements and construction business who are looking to add an experienced Health & Safety Manager to their team.

This is a hands-on role supporting multiple sites across Lancashire, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, working closely with operational teams to maintain high health & safety standards across installation projects, customer properties, offices and showrooms.

The Role

  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments across multiple locations.
  • Provide practical health & safety advice to site teams, managers, employees and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation, including CDM 2015.
  • Support the safe delivery of refurbishment, installation and home improvement works.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, putting corrective actions in place.
  • Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and training.
  • Monitor and follow up health & safety actions through to completion.
  • Support contractor PQQs, competence checks and documentation.
  • Keep up to date with legislation and industry best practice.
  • Help promote a positive health & safety culture across the business.

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong practical background in construction health & safety, who is comfortable getting out on site and working with people at all levels.

You'll ideally have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent – essential.
  • NEBOSH Construction would be desirable.
  • Tech IOSH or above.
  • SMSTS and a white or black CSCS card.
  • Solid construction industry experience and a good understanding of CDM.
  • Experience carrying out inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to challenge unsafe practices when required.
  • Ability to manage your own workload across multiple sites.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
