We are look to recruit a Health & Safety Operative for our client based in Hull, who will support the Health & Safety Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-controlled working environment. The role plays a key part in ensuring all site personnel adhere to established health & safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Health & Safety Manager in day-to-day site safety management
- Conduct regular site inspections and compliance checks
- Monitor adherence to health & safety procedures across all operations
- Identify, report, and help resolve hazards, unsafe acts, and near misses
- Assist in incident investigations and documentation
- Ensure correct PPE usage and safe working practices are followed at all times
- Support delivery of toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and audit documentation
- Work closely with supervisors and operational teams to reinforce compliance
Requirements
- IOSH or MSMTS qualification (minimum requirement)
- Previous experience in a health & safety, compliance, or operational role (desirable)
- Working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify risks
- Confident communicator at all levels of the business
- Ability to follow procedures and escalate concerns appropriately
- Organised, reliable, and proactive approach to safety
