We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable family-run automotive commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across Southern England, for the position of HGV Technician at their Bicester location. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled and experienced HGV Technicians seeking to join a well-established, award-winning business with over 50 years of operational excellence.

Duties of a HGV Technician:
  • Conduct service, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles, adhering strictly to manufacturer schedules and quality standards
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
  • Complete comprehensive diagnoses and repairs of vehicle malfunctions as a HGV Technician
  • Support colleagues with technical issues, innovations, and troubleshooting
  • Document diagnosis results, repairs, and safety inspections accurately
  • Adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures at all times
  • Support the team in meeting monthly and annual targets for productivity and quality
  • Be flexible with optional overtime, Saturday work, and roadside call-out duties as required
Requirements of a HGV Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 or IMI equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is essential
  • Practical experience working with heavy goods vehicles is required
  • A valid HGV driving licence or IRTEC accreditation is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated commitment to producing high-quality work in a busy workshop environment
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Motivated to meet performance targets and continuously develop technical skills
