We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a leading commercial vehicle company in Preston. Duties:
  • Service, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles to the highest standards
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the workshop environment
  • Effectively communicate with team members and management
  • Keep accurate records of all work carried out and report any additional repairs required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician with a Level 3 qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Time-served experience working on large commercial vehicles
  • Valid full UK driving licence; Class 1 licence preferred
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
