Interim HR Advisor (Employee Relations)

County Durham | Up to 3 Days Onsite | Approx. £17.50 per Hour + Holiday Pay | Initial 6-Week Assignment

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for your next interim assignment? Perhaps you're between roles, specialise in interim HR support, or have capacity to help with a focused Employee Relations project?

We're seeking an Interim HR Advisor to join a busy organisation in County Durham for an initial 6-week contract, providing hands-on support with a range of Employee Relations casework.

The Role

Working closely with the HR team, you'll take ownership of a varied ER caseload, providing practical and compliant advice to managers while ensuring cases are progressed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a range of Employee Relations cases including absence management, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters
• Advising and coaching managers on HR policies and procedures
• Supporting investigations, hearings and outcome meetings
• Ensuring accurate case documentation and records are maintained
• Providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR guidance
• Assisting with wider HR projects as required during the assignment

About You

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor or equivalent HR generalist role
• Strong Employee Relations knowledge and hands-on case management experience
• Confident working independently and managing a busy caseload
• Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
• CIPD qualification desirable but not essential
• Available to start at short notice
