My client and I have an opportunity for an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) to join their team, in either their Grantham or Newark office. About the Candidate
The individual should be motivated, and someone who can develop, manage and take ownership of client relationships. You will need to have a detailed understanding of Investments, Pensions, and Inheritance Tax Planning and be committed to providing an efficient service while maintaining high standards of client care. The successful candidate will be diploma qualified or working towards a similar financial qualification. You should also hold a current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS), or can obtain one. A full, up-to-date drivers license and use of own vehicle is required, as you may have to commute to other offices.
About the Role
As an IFA, you will provide advice across a broad range of financial issues, including Investments and Pensions, while providing an ongoing service to clients. You will review client portfolios in line with service agreements, identify clients’ needs and research the market to make suitable agreements recommendations. You will be working alongside partners and fee earners but will also be supporting the development of new financial businesses. The role requires you to ensure all work is conducted compliantly, in accordance to the FCA regulations, the firms policies and best practice, while putting the interests of the client first.
Location-Newark/ Grantham
Hours- 9:00 AM-17:15 pm, Monday-Friday
Salary- Depending on experience
Skills and Attributes
-Diploma qualified or working towards a relevant financial qualification
-Current Statement of SPS, or able to get one
-Degree or relevant experience
-Full drivers’ licence
-Understanding of Investments, Pension and Inheritance Tax Planning
-High level of competency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
-Able to establish and maintain good relationships
-Experience in Trust Investment
-Understand confidentiality and data protection
-Hands-on and strategic thinker
-Strong data driven decision making
-Analytical thinking
-Maintain high levels of confidentiality
