Role: Interim Finance Accounting Lead

Location: Sheffield - hybrid working

Rates: £40k-£46k

Sector: Public Sector

Duration: Interim- 6 months+

Sellick Partnership is seeking an Interim Finance Accounting Lead for our client based in Sheffield.

Role overview:

• Support the Accountancy Manager in delivering the organisation's strategic objectives.
• Prepare draft statutory accounts, fixed asset accounts, and treasury management information
• Ensure compliance with accounting, treasury management and financial regulations
• Support audits, grants, voluntary funds and statutory returns
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standing orders

Main Responsibilities:

• Support effective financial management, control and reporting
• Support annual accounts, year-end processes and external returns
• Maintain financial controls, policies, procedures and the Chart of Accounts
• Support capital programme planning and expenditure monitoring
• Manage and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Support internal and external audits and deputise when required
• Promote risk management, data protection, equality, health and safety, and continuous improvement
• Comply with organisational standards, complete required training and undertake other appropriate duties

Desirable experience:

• Public Sector experience
• Capital experience
