Interim Group Financial Controller in Bristol, Gloucestershire

The Hays Senior Finance interim & contracts team are recruiting an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join a growing, multi-entity business for an initial six-month assignment. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, this is a hands-on role supporting the business through a period of change and growth, with a focus on financial control, group reporting, process improvement and strengthening the wider finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consolidated monthly management accounts and Group reporting
• Strengthen financial controls, processes and balance sheet integrity
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Oversee statutory reporting, VAT and audit requirements
• Lead and support the wider finance team
• Drive improvements across reporting, systems and processes
• Partner closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders
• Support wider finance projects and business change
  
  About you
• We're looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller / Financial Controller who can hit the ground running.

Ideally you will be:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Experienced within a Group, multi-entity or complex SME environment
• Technically strong in reporting, controls and consolidations
• Comfortable leading and developing a finance team
• Confident working with senior stakeholders
• Hands-on, adaptable and commercially minded
• Available immediately or at short notice

Package & process

• £350-£450 per day, dependent on experience and pay type
• Initial 6-month assignment
• Hybrid working (3 days required on site)
• One-stage Team interview (slots as soon as this week)
• Immediate / quick start
