Description
Key responsibilities for the Interim Procurement Manager role:
- Lead a portfolio of complex, high-value procurement projects.
- Provide expert procurement advice to senior stakeholders and programme leads.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes in line with relevant legislation and governance requirements.
- Develop sourcing strategies and procurement documentation.
- Drive procurement activity to agreed timescales and project objectives.
- Manage commercial, contractual and procurement risks.
- Work closely with operational, clinical and corporate stakeholders to support service delivery and transformation objectives.
Profile
A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:
- Significant experience leading complex public sector procurement exercises.
- Strong understanding of UK public procurement regulations.
- Experience within NHS, healthcare, local government or wider public sector environments.
- Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making.
- Proven track record delivering high-value procurements to tight deadlines.
- MCIPS qualification desirable but not essential.
Job Offer
- Daily rate: £300 - £380, dependent on the level of experience.
- Temporary position offering flexibility and valuable public sector experience.
- Remote working.
- 3 months with potential to extend.
