IT Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer | Birmingham | 6 Month Contract

My client is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to support ongoing BAU operations and deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support across the business. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, alongside a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality IT services.

Key responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Windows 11.
• Provide support across Azure and Entra ID environments.
• Leverage documentation held in ServiceNow to provide high-quality end user support.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and wider infrastructure issues.
• Deliver 1st and 2nd line IT support across the business.
• Setup accounts, deal with access request and play a key role in the Joiners / Movers / Leavers process.
• Support technology upgrades and promote ITIL best practices.
• Assist with IT projects and ongoing technical initiatives.

IT Support Engineer Experience/Technologies:

• Administration and support of Windows 10/11 operating systems
• Administration and support of Microsoft 365 and Intune environments
• Administration and management of Active Directory.
• Strong experience with the Joiners Movers Leavers process.
• Experience using ticketing systems to manage incidents, service requests, and user support activities.
• Strong understanding of Cloud technologies including Azure / Entra ID
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support users effectively

The successful IT Support Engineer candidate will be commutable 2 days a week to Bromsgrove.
