Contract Type: Full-time, long-term temporary

Location: Ealing, London, UK
Salary: £37,870–£56,154 per annum


Pay will reflect experience and position on the applicable Outer London teacher pay scale.


Teach Now is recruiting a thoughtful and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher for an inclusive primary school in Ealing.

This position would suit a teacher who combines warmth with structure and understands how to develop confident readers, writers and mathematicians. As the KS1 Teacher, you will plan purposeful lessons, make effective use of classroom support and ensure that pupils with different starting points remain fully included.

The school has a positive team culture and encourages teachers to share ideas, resources and good practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering high-quality KS1 lessons
  • Teaching phonics and early reading systematically
  • Developing pupils’ spoken language and vocabulary
  • Tracking progress and providing useful feedback
  • Adapting learning for pupils with additional needs
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
  • Contributing to school events and enrichment
Candidate Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have suitable KS1 teaching or placement experience
  • Understand effective phonics and reading instruction
  • Demonstrate strong planning and assessment skills
  • Be confident supporting pupils with SEN and EAL
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Be available for the full duration of the placement
