KS2 Tutor
Prospero Teaching
We are looking for a patient, creative, and engaging tutor to support a Year 3 student for approximately 6 hours per week at Dorchester Library.
This young person has been attending our provision for several months and has made fantastic progress during this time. Unfortunately, their current tutor is unable to continue with them in the new academic year, so we are seeking someone to take over this rewarding role. Reports will be available, for you to see what has been covered previous and what has been effective with the previous tutor.
The student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and presents with significant communication, interaction, attention, and sensory regulation needs. These challenges can lead to high levels of anxiety around demands and transitions, which may result in dysregulation and behaviours that prevent access to learning.
The successful tutor will:
- Be able to build a strong, trusting relationship and place this at the heart of their practice.
- Have experience supporting children with SEND, particularly those with communication and sensory needs.
- Deliver English and Maths tuition in a highly creative, engaging, and flexible way.
- Be confident adapting learning to meet the student's individual needs and interests.
The timetable is flexible, and we may be able to work around your availability. Please let us know your preferred days and times when expressing interest.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please get in touch and we can discuss pay, timetable options, and provide further information about the young person and the support required.
We look forward to hearing from you.
