Learning Support Assistant – Carlisle

We are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to join an education setting in Carlisle supporting learners aged 16-19.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting learners and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and 1:1 learning support to students.
• Support learners with additional learning needs and disabilities.
• Help students engage with lessons and complete learning activities.
• Provide encouragement and support to build confidence and independence.
• Work closely with teaching staff to meet individual learner needs.
• Support students with their personal development and progression.
• Assist with maintaining a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS required.
• Previous experience supporting learners in a school, college or education setting.
• Experience working with SEND/additional learning needs is desirable.
• Patient, supportive and confident working with young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for helping learners succeed.
